Laurence D'antonio Lignel. Then and Now.
I have never been divorced from the art. I feel I have always had the impulse to funnel my emotions and my environment through a visual interpretation of some sort.
From a young age, more as a spectator than an actor, I found myself studying human interactions, body language, people‘s mannerisms. In recent years, I moved on to my natural surroundings : from serendipitous shadows to the somewhat overwhelming ramifications of family impetus.
What surrounds me is a source of personal nourishment and inspires empirical and more than often therapeutic artistic expressions.
What I make is what makes me.
